I met my neighbors who also care for the stray feral cat in our neighborhood today and they are really nice! I’ve been wanting to get to know my actual neighbors in real life, and build an offline community. It’s a good start! We’re partnering to take care of this injured guy.

publicly rejecting it, on every social media account you have, and amplifying every other rejection, is also signaling. they’re a weak regime, getting weaker, in a mix of false bravado and panic and fear, and who they fear is us. they should.
The president is also signalling to his followers in and out of government what the party line on this horrific murder will be. That it's transparently false is almost beside the point. Indeed, publicly adopting the falsehood will fast become a loyalty test.
That he chooses the "me or your lying eyes?" approach, in the full knowledge that there are multiple videos out there, is a striking commentary on the nature of propaganda in the modern information environment.

I’ve had several good weeks with my long COVID that I hoped I was almost back to normal … but the last few days have been rough. I’m determined not to go backwards though.

I told my psychiatrist that I was more stressed because of the news and all that is happening in the world… and she told me that I can’t do anything and to disconnect. That is the exact opposite of what I want to do. I want to keep writing to my senators, and making sure I can speak out about it all
