I am sickened by the relentless demonisation of refugees.
No refugee underfunded a school.
No refugee closed a hospital.
No refugee took away support from the sick and disabled.
We need solutions not scapegoats. Stop blaming refugees and tax the rich instead!

Morning fun. The fountain in the pool we've set up to entertain the local wildlife died. Replaced it yesterday and it's attracting more attention than the old one. This is a Cooper's Hawk.

I can't stop thinking about how good this new portrayal of Sue Storm is. She's so incredibly powerful and almost terrifying. Honestly I rarely gave Sue a thought before, always just referring to her as "invisible woman". Now I'll never forget her name again. S-Tier hero. #FantasticFour

The writing subreddit has some of the weirdest questions. Many aspiring writers there seem to want strict definitions of how people work. "If a person has A trait, then they must have B trait, right?" As if we're not all walking meat bags of contradictions.

It's weird to be living in an era where a person can have it pointed out to them their beliefs are kind of fascist and they just say "ok then I'm pro fascism". We have somehow demonized introspection.

I am getting a little worried for Star Trek. If Paramount/CBS gets rid of highly viewed, well rated night show hosts just for speaking poorly of Dear Leader, what chance does a "woke" franchise have of surviving? Will Starfleet Academy or other planned shows ever see the light of day?
