I welcome the news that Mohsen Mahdawi has been released from ICE custody. His arrest during a citizenship interview, simply for exercising his conditionally-guaranteed right to free speech, was wrong and illegal.

I just landed in San Salvador a little while ago, and I look forward to meeting with the team at the U.S. embassy to discuss the release of Mr. Abrego Garcia.
