Hilarious conversation with my son last night

11yo: mom how many times have you been rejected?

Me: oh! so many times- 15+ grants, countless manuscripts…

11yo: …

Me: …then there was this one time we resubmitted again and rev 2 said this and then…

A few 2025 academic/work NY 🥳 resolutions- what are yours?

1. Say “yes” strategically
2. Say “no” as needed, esp if you can provide the opportunity to someone else (sponsorship!)
3. Write a grant
4. Write another grant in case prior grant is not funded
5.-10. Repeat grant writing as needed 🤓
