1) Don't sign up for protests
2) Be aware of technology (location sharing, etc)
3) Use secure channels for anything important (Signal or others with end-to-end encryption)
4) Have an evacuation plan
5) Have a "Go Bag"
6) Don't doomscroll

The answer to "What happened to [social justice movement]?" is pretty much always "it was suppressed by violence." Official and otherwise.
Far from the only way repression works (read the investigations into the co-option of the formal BLM org), but it's a major one.

More and more people reporting today that Stripe - the payment processor that Itch said were putting the most pressure on them - now have staff actively confirming that yes, they are censoring LGBT content, adult or otherwise. That this is official company policy.
