Absolutely. Europe needs to get over the denial stage of grief for the US of old fast and get to the anger/acceptance/action phase without delay (skip the bargaining/depression phases) - I hope yesterday's disgusting remarks on Ukraine by Trump put a fire under leaders to act.

Utter failure to grasp what we are facing www.nytimes.com/2025/02/15/u...

1. People lack the framework to recognize an attempt to overthrow the constitutional order
2. The lack of elites *acting* like point 1 is true makes it illegible. Without Ds behaving as if it's a crisis, it's not a crisis.
An Unchecked Trump Rapidly Remakes U.S. Government and Foreign Policy
The president’s swift moves underscore the confidence of an administration with a much firmer grip on the levers of government than during his first term.

BREAKING: AOC blames crash on Trump / Elon

“I represent LGA Airport as well as workers for JFK. Trump gutted the Aviation Safety committee last week. Air traffic controllers, already understaffed, got Trump’s “buyout” this wk with a 1 wk ultimatum to decide. It’s not DEI - it’s him. And Elon too.”

if dems dont all just blame trump for this and fill the void, the voters that decide elections will think the plane crashed bc of dei
After 20-minute remarks blaming DEI efforts at the FAA for last night's D.C. crash, President Trump is asked whether he has any proof that this crash was caused by DEI efforts.

"It just could have been," he replies.

These are not “settlements” they are “bribes” and should be described accurately. The reporting even explains that CBS executives believe this payment will help avert Trump blocking their merger. Thats a bribe. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/30/b...
Paramount in Settlement Talks With Trump Over ‘60 Minutes’ Lawsuit
A settlement, if reached, would be an extraordinary concession by a major U.S. media company to a sitting president.

It's not not his fault
POTUS:
- put a hiring freeze on an overwhelmed air traffic control
- panicked every career civil servant in the federal government
- put a drunk in charge of the DoD (whose helo flew into a passenger jet)
- installed a reality star as Transportation Sec’y

the crash at DCA is Donald Trump’s fault

The media has failed the public on a crucial matter: the derangement of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Often he is described in news reports as a vaccine skeptic, when he is far more than that. He is an extreme vaccine opponent.

It's cool how any other president posting "bad situation...NOT GOOD!!" about a catastrophe would have wall-to-wall press coverage about how he has to resign bc he's an illiterate caveman here by mistake, but for trump it won't even be covered at all– it would be unfair to our new god

The President is asking rhetorical questions about what federal government aircraft was doing, as if there's someone else who is supposed to have the answer. This is his responsibility. If he doesn't even know the answers, it's because he and his unqualified appointees are incompetent.
