These "Bluesky sucks" articles are baffling to me. I follow a ton of very nerdy comic book & movie accounts, & it's awesome. Yes, there is alot of awful in the world, but I spend my real life dealing with & talking about that. Here, I wanna escape & bond over Jack Kirby comics & Pam Grier.

Tomorrow’s going to be a good stress test of the press. El Salvadoran President Bukele will visit the White House. At the press availability, every Q ought to be about Abrego Garcia: where is he now? Did US ask you to return him? etc. WH will hate, maybe try to prevent, so all should band together.

Gabe and Mjolnir need a new home, can you help?

Rowan, their human who has sadly passed, wished for them to remain together.

Will help get them relocated to anywhere within the United States; please read on for more details! 🧵

Signal boosts & sharing are appreciated 💙

Musk keeps firing us, and with all this free time, we’re organizing America. They call us “paid protesters”—but seriously, where do we sign up for that paycheck? We’re open to those “Soros bucks.” Every day, we spill the tea, knowing retribution is coming.

New politician test:

“Are trans rights human rights?”

If they answer ANYTHING other than an immediate YES, walk away while saying “I’m not voting for you.”

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

Hi Booksky 💙📚🪐!
I’m looking to start reading some R. F. Kuang in the near future and was wondering where people think the best place to start is. To me, it seems Yellowface or The Poppy War would probably be best since Babel seems like a more seasoned read but lmk what you think.

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Solarpunk gets a bad rap, but I'm hard pressed to think of another contemporary genre that's actually imagining hopeful futures.

Everything else just seems to assume that Things Will Continue to Get Worse (and frankly, I don't know if I can blame them)
