I was given some leftover flowers from a luncheon at work. I really need give myself flowers every now and then because each time I look at this little bouquet I smile.

I lost a pair of reading glasses, so I bought a pair of reading glasses which means I will soon find the lost pair. Some kind of unwritten rule.

La Noticia in Charlotte's covering ICE enforcement actions today. It's hard to do journalism when you are not safe. Nationally, there's evidence of citizens and green card holders being caught up. I appreciate journalists doing this risky work.

Check out their work here.

This all the way to the bone marrow. Find things that bring you joy and cling to them like the life preserver they are in the stormy seas of our present moment in history.
I saw someone on my timeline shaming someone else for posting about college football in a time like this.

Folks, if we're going to survive a time like this, we're going to need to avoid burning out from an attitude of 24/7 vigilance and constant outrage.

Let people find joy where they can, please.

Recently I switched my Netflix icon to the Winona Ryder one. My son initially thought was me.

Bless his heart. If only.

Right?!? Just because I bought one thing doesn't mean I'm in the market for more things. Vendors, this was a one-and-done transaction - stop with the annoying emails. We are NOT besties.

Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”

people are going to post AI slop...sometimes they just do not realize it at the time and have the good graces to delete it

but if they are told and keep posting it your safest action is just to block them because they will continue to spread it
