Yeah it was even dumber. I was 16 and because I had an anti-war bumper sticker on the jalopy I drove, my mom wouldn’t let me drive it to her parents’ house lest they get offended that I had opinions (and was smarter than all of them)
it was incredibly stupid. stupider than you can imagine. the stupidity of the commentary especially was low key my inspiration for wanting to get into the takes game. me at 14 basically, “i could do better than this shit”
I was too young to be ware of the Iraq invasion debate but was it this degree of stupid? It can't have been this stupid.

My cat’s job is to act like an absolute maniac when I’m trying to eat or she wants to eat, and after she has eaten and settled down, to bristle at my every attempt to snuggle her. I envy every second of her life.

Weird how Shane Gillis was fired from SNL after one day for being a bigot then has hosted twice since while making fun of that fact. He should have been fired for being interminably unfunny.

A family member from whom I am now estranged* used to theorize that Gene Hackman was, in some way, in every movie. Even in movies he wasn’t in, he was in. (Example, he appears on the TV in the hotel in Big.) What a legend he was.
