Remember, the big argument for AI in the arts is that these “artists” have ideas, hundreds of ideas, thousands, all that was stopping them was the hoards of gatekeeping musicians, writers, illustrators… and not that they were lazy and didn’t want to put in the work.

I think a big thing I struggle with, and something that is an important thing for people of my generation to attempt to understand, is separating toxic nostalgia from knowledge of the actual ways in which American life has gotten appreciably worse in my lifetime

Let’s be clear…this isn’t doing anything for the economy…the $ amount is up because prices have gone up. Adobe analytics also says the amount of goods sold during this time is down 3% which means ppl paid more and got less. This is not a good look for the economy.

It's amazing what labels and titles can do for perceived prestige. I see a lot of people acting like Hegseth has brought shame to the office of Secretary of Defense when really what he's done is do the same stuff but louder and cruder. I think some people ultimately object to the lack of class.
