but I am very much a hobbyist/amateur and have not worked on any project like this at scale so 🤷♀️ this is my guess based on hearing devs talk about their games (not DBD) and reading autopsies on big misfires like Anthem, ME:A etc, what happened during production to scuttle potential w/mismanagement

I myself have probably been too forgiving or soft on the game in the past, but this last year especially has been such an undeniable mess. IMO it's had really bad management of some kind for a long time, and that accrues 'problem debt' so to speak that we're seeing come home to roost
