A masterful 🧵
Thanks for sharing this document, @rweingarten.bsky.social.

I read it, and I believe it's inexcusably inadequate and will not prepare teachers or schools to confront the very real dangers of the "A.i." products pushed by your partners, including OpenAI.

A few thoughts for your consideration...

Cheesy pop song of the day: Get Lucky by Daft Punk/Pharrell Williams/Nile Rodgers

I keep randomly catching this one popping up on the radio a lot lately and I'm not mad about it.

Weekend holiday activity: Saw a live performance of Handel's Messiah at a local historic church in Greenville, DE last night. Very cool setting for a terrific performance, courtesy of Tempesta di Mare, the Christ Church Choir, and some fabulously talented soloists.

Wind storm yesterday very dramatically knocked out power for ~12 hours. Thankful for the standby generator; it doesn't run everything, but major appliances/systems are on it.

Good thing, because look at this surge protector, which gave its life saving a TV and several other smaller items. 😳

Um, what? 🤯
Andy Serkis has remade Orwell’s stark fable ‘Animal Farm’ — only he says he’s made it ‘accessible’ (as though it wasn’t already), not ‘overtly political’ (could that have the slightest value?), and ‘suitable for a modern audience’ (his version has a happy ending).
