BHVR not allocating extra time for the WFH transition was such a huge red flag i think of it every time another show of anti-consumer ideology by whoever's running the studio pops up. the more time goes by w/out sufficient time & labor given to overall game health the more problems build up/calcify

I keep thinking about a dev of the OG Deus Ex talking about the game's systems needing a major overhaul almost at the end. It needed time & iteration and banging away at the problem. seemingly a mindset that goes 'just throw out the first version that can reasonably be sold' is in leadership instead

and in case anyone is wondering why people are especially unimpressed with the microtransactions and corporate greed this year - previous Christmas events in game gave 9k in currency, enough to buy one(1) character. Now it's 1k, and even non-licensed Christmas sweaters are changed to real-cash-only

that is an incredible amount of corporate bootlicking you set off in that user, good god. And for a company that just had a big kerfuffle where they refused to set any security for a show with a public figure, despite getting a heads-up, and extremely publicly paid the price 😭
