I've seen things...seen things you little people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Greenland bright as magnesium... I rode on the back decks of a cybertruck and watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Halifax Gate. All those moments... they'll be gone.

So the Navy reinvented JUONs/UONs with BETs. This time it will be the rapidly rapid capability acquisition. Amazing how we keep putting the same type of people in charge expecting different outcomes.

Navy’s new Rapid Capabilities Office pursues disruption, with caution
Senior Navy officials shared the sea service's vision to adopt technology, in a three-year timeframe, to ensure “U.S. maritime supremacy.”

Strange that other services like the Navy figured out how to up readiness without foolishly disregarding airworthiness concerns.

Solution here is to keep the same people in charge who mismanaged it in the first place.

Maybe they should think about the fact that military officers are woefully unprepared to lead major acquisition programs and it should be the cadre of civilians who actually do the work running the show

Incredible how Erza didn’t even challenge some of the statements made by Fareed made here. Fareed’s summation, pointedly, it was the lefts fault that they embraced too much woke and DEI which led to the backlash which is why where we are

I think a miss here to do something bold not including the aviation portfolio. I am interested that it could be a civilian who is the PAE… let’s get *REAL* program managers that have managed actual development or production lines from industry

The grand jury refused to indict felony charges so DOJ brought a misdemeanor. The trial jury acquitted—note: that means that every single person on the jury voted for acquittal. There wasn’t even a single vote to convict. joycevance.substack.com/p/prosecutor...

If we have to ask if this is a precursor to martial law, or are we under martial law we are in deep shit.

I think what the left constantly misses, and Trump has an instinct for, is obvious. While we are wringing our hands about the possibility of a third term this is to set the dynasty up of Junior, Ivanka, or Eric. It generates press, sells some stuff, and no merch change required
They’re just joking, right? He has no plans to violate the constitution and try and stay in office, right?
Right?

Lots of teeth gnashing about Newsom comments. My take: he is ham fistedly trying to point out the left is going on the attack with perceived low probability of success on a popular topic on right. He thinks in topics to get votes.

Two Republican senators told me tonight this vote shows they can execute the same strategy again — cut Democrats out of the negotiations on a gov’t funding bill, pass it thru the House, and expect Senate Dems to back down and not filibuster it.

“We liked it over here,” one said.

Cool so what happens if GOP attach a national abortion ban to a CR? You'll vote for that too?

🚮
My YES vote is *not* an endorsement of this deeply flawed CR.

My YES vote is 💯 about refusing to shut our government down.

I refuse to punish working families and plunge millions of Americans into chaos.

I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever vote to shut our government down.

I wonder if the plan for all this is

1) House passes deeply unpopular resolution with the cuts. Senate appears more sane with resolution that doesn’t. Thune says they won’t take up resolution until after 14th
