I'm so tired of dealing with the fallout from the stupidity of the terminally online right wing of this country and their weird obsessions.

They've spent years inventing an alternate reality that makes them angry, and now they're taking it out on everyone else.

DOGE recommended firing workers at:

-FDA, which oversees Neuralink

-FAA, which oversees SpaceX

-USAID, which probed Starlink

-CFPB, which oversees Tesla's financing arm and a potential payment platform on X.

"Conflict of interest" is a severe understatement.

While Trump has been distracting America with everything else, Elon Musk’s staffers are quietly taking over NOAA and the Department of Labor. They are also using AI to help rewrite a significant portion of the federal government’s computer systems.

The distinction between skilled vs unskilled labour shouldn't be viewed as just a capitalist lie to justify paying people less. In the 19th century it was central to socialist critiques of capitalism because factory workers were compelled to perform the same mind numbing task over and over again.

Stop putting knowledge building behind paywalls

Most organizers don't have the extra funds to pay for growing their skills. Requiring money to access knowledge is gatekeeping and plays into a classist system.

The U.S. Department of Labor is organizing a protest. Elon Musk’s staff will be present at the Frances Perkins Building in Washington, D.C., today at 4 p.m. It was mentioned that staff should plan to stay late after the 4 p.m. meeting to assist with setting up Elon Musk staffers into their systems.

Stuff like this is what you can demand from your elected representatives. One campaign I worked on shut down Biden's Chief of Staff's whole departments email for a full day. I'm sure we're all tired and doubtful about taking action, but many, many people across the USA are organizing right now.
Senator Andy Kim just went to the USAID building, talked to the security guard there to confirm employees are being barred entry, and then did a press gaggle right there in front to call it out.

This is doing something. This is making an effort on messaging. Other Democratic lawmakers: take notes.
