Rand Paul just posted this letter from the Coast Guard confirming that 1/4 of the boats they stop carry no contraband. The likelihood that Hegseth & Bradley ordered the murder of innocent civilians is very high.

Fun question.

“One Small Child,” “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” and (technically), “Let There Be Peace On Earth,” are the religious favs.

Secular? “Favorite Christmas Story,” “Silver Bells,” and “It’s Not Christmas (‘Til Somebody Cries).”

But I adore Christmas songs.
What is your favorite "Christian" Christmas song and what is your favorite "Secular" Christmas song?

I will probably always adore "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" for Christian.

And "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" for secular.

I needed to sit and think on this one. The nature of true spec is waiting for more information, using a process of elimination, thinking differently, etc. and I think, after pondering, I have a strong theory for Car. And it’s simple. Car -> Carnal. Hellraiser.
Car (23A) - Stephen King’s “Christine” is finally happening!!! This is a tricky one because, by itself, it doesn’t actually give enough to really fit anything specific. I’m not going to make a call on this one.

Senator Kelly is correct.

Plus a Public Service Announcement:

KEY section of Department of Defense's Law of War Manual is 18.3.2.1.

The VERY rule on the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders gives as its paradigmatic example of what is "clearly illegal:
"orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

I am reminded of this thread I read recently:

bsky.app/profile/sara...

Basically how reading is being taught has shifted from phonetics based to context based and it is not setting folks up for success.
ever since I learned about three-cueing I've developed infinitely more patience for replies on social media. mfers literally do not know how to read. people are walking around conjuring random meanings into words they don't know, and they don't know a lot of words. it's crazy

They fixed the spelling in the permit… and I’ve had a thought:

Though I initially thought “Bus” could be Stranger Things, I’m now leaning towards Stranger Things being “Hearse.” Why? The series is “dead” after season 5, so it needs a hearse.

It’s a similar logic to “Uncle” for TWD.
Herse (138B Galkn) - So, I immediately keyed in to the spelling. It’s intentionally the obsolete spelling of “hearse,” but “herse” has a different meaning. A “herse” is a gate… traditionally of a military fort or castle. That’s VERY significant, and probably an original. Definitely a period piece.

A sad irony in Washington, D.C., where West Virginia National Guardsmen were shot today. Six days ago, a court ruled their deployment was illegal, but stayed the order pending appeal. My heart goes out to these public servants and their families. oag.dc.gov/sites/defaul...

Annnnnnd now the West Virginia governor says he's not sure about the condition of the National Guardsmen.

Maybe best to not tweet out that they are both dead until, you know, you KNOW that is absolutely the case...

So… this is one of those pedantic accusations that, if true, will raise an eyebrow but it’s largely concern trolling. If it’s true.

Here, it’s not true. The medals are in correct order of precedence. It’s tedious but verifiable.
