Get yourself and your kids vaccinated!

Canada can re-establish its measles elimination status once transmission of the measles strain associated with the current outbreak is interrupted for at least 12 months.

As someone who grew up in the area, it is very upsetting that the province is considering selling off portions of Wasaga beach provincial park. In addition to being a nature area accessible from Toronto it also has a big role in wildlife preservation (esp. the piping plovers).
I wrote about this too. Why isn’t Ontario hitting the barricades in rage? We’ve so little lake access. Entirely privatized shorelines. You could give the province away to oligarchs & people would be meh. Thx to Fatima for calling this early on.

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

During my MASc in Mech. Eng I bonded with other women over the fact that the nearest washroom had a single hygiene container on a wall instead of inside the two stalls (a true wtf moment).

Great to see these period product innovations by these women engineers at McMaster! www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Something that is already showing up in university exams where students struggle to start answering questions ultimately leaving more of the exams blank.

It's strange seeing such confusion about Canada exercising our freedom of speech being expressed in such an angry way by a diplomat.

Dr. Bray subsequently fled the country with his family because he studied (and published) about fascism.
This week, our colleague Dr. Mark Bray came under attack by Turning Point USA’s Rutgers chapter for his public scholarship. Rutgers AAUP-AFT and the Rutgers Adjunct Faculty Union condemn this campaign and stand in solidarity with our colleagues. Read our full statement here: https://loom.ly/BDXasRY

Shared reality is simply not a thing anymore, if it ever was. "Alternative facts" create alternative realities.

In Trump's alternative reality, there's a war going on in Portland. A war that justifies the use of "Full Force" by troops that Portland did not request, sent by the "Secretary of War."

As a party to the Genocide Convention, the U.S. has a legal obligation to obey our own laws, stop weapons sales to Israel, and demand a permanent ceasefire.

End the genocide. Ceasefire now.
