It's almost like most americans really despise for profit healthcare and that a presidential candidate who made single payer one of his core policies and really hammered the message home could win in a landslide if his campaign wasn't throttled by his own party on purpose

Obviously a lot of awful things can last an awfully long time, but I have been feeling more and more that it isn't sustainable that there's this huge, bipartisan, totally deserving loathing of how US healthcare works and like six national elected officials who even vaguely support universal care.

I learned today that a local health system is having to essentially violate its own (very reasonable!) policies to accommodate out of state adolescents seeking gender-affirming care.
