I say his gently, but…

There’s something unspeakably shameful The United States letting people go hungry.

Not because its government doesn’t fix it —

but because tomorrow a few private Americans could, and never notice the cost.

That’s the part that sits wrong.

One good thing about me is that my brain works and I don't fall for Orwellian, propaganda nonsense like this.

The Israelis are breaking the ceasefire and NBC News is actively running interference to support the Israeli government (as are most other American corporate media outlets).

I'm reading Katabasis by R. F. Kuang on high reccs from several of my bookish friends and I'm about to DNF it. I'm 60%ish of the way thru, I do think it's well written, I just don't like any of these characters to the point it's almost unreadable

OH MY GOD THEY DID
Oh did they do that thing where they're just another layer in the PDF.
I have to presume they’ve redacted all these Epstein documents in such a hamfisted way that you just need to dial up the brightness in Photoshop to be able to read them

Much of the cardboard and paper goods strewn about our homes are sold by a single private company, with its name, Uline, stamped on the bottom.

Many may not know that a multibillion-dollar fortune made on those ubiquitous products fuels far-right candidates across the country.

That Cardboard Box in Your Home Is Fueling Election Denial
A previously unreported boom in profits for the shipping supply giant Uline has provided the funds for a deeply conservative Midwestern family to bankroll anti-democracy causes around the country.

Maria has been accused over the years of fabricating her story that she had gone to the FBI. After finding the document in the trove, I called her. She broke down in tears.

I loved art since I was little but I think my biggest reason at that age was I loved horses and since I couldn't have one the next best thing was to draw them.
With all this awful news going on i wanna ask this question once again to fellow artists and general creatives. What got YOU into art? what sparked that motivation to start writing? what made you wanna pick up a camera and start taking pics? Like share with us your reasons.

I have switched browsers from Firefox to Waterfox, which is a privacy-focused independent fork that has no current plans to pivot to GenAI. So far, I've found functionality almost identical.

Give it a try if you want to nope out of forced corporate GenAI adoption. www.waterfox.net
