This is a lie and bullshit.

This is the same bullshit Disney pulled at it's parks. Making things ACCESSIBLE costs them money.

So it's much better to astroturf this issue, make some shitty people think oh cool a hack I can use, get everyone else mad

Then you can cut accessibility.

The photos of those Haitian refugees was his first big break, as they earned him the Robert Capa Gold Medal award, which catapulted his career. But at the moment he took the images, he and the other men on the boat thought they were going to die.

He had this to say about the experience:

stop trying to make villains acceptable!!! likable, relatable, whatever it is exactly i don’t care and i want it to stop. we don’t need their backstory. i want to know why mrs. potts had a tea set worth of kids and no partner. where’s the deadbeat coffee pot dad?!
I do not want Gaston backstory, I do not need Gaston backstory, I reject Gaston backstory

he is a fully formed oaf, consuming eggs by the dozen in one of the greatest villain songs ever written, and that is all we need of him

Steve isn’t here anymore, but he always posted this picture on Hanukkah so I thought we could carry on his tradition and remember him.
Happy Hanukkah to our friends who celebrate. Rachel Posner, a rabbi’s wife in Kiel, Germany, took this photograph in 1931 -- a potent reminder that fascism must be fought in every generation, even if it's wrapped in an American flag and a red hat.

Bad framing: ACIP voted to scrap the universal hepatitis B vaccine recommendation for newborns.

Accurate framing: Anti-vax conspiracy theorists appointed to ACIP by Robert Kennedy Jr., who made a fortune as an anti-vax profiteer, voted to expose babies to a preventable, incurable, deadly illness.

“It’s important to note the vaccine has been studied for decades, with evidence proving its efficacy and safety. A model by the Center for Disease Analysis Foundation found that delaying the first dose at birth would result in 99,000 preventable hepatitis B infections.”

This is one of many decisions that only makes sense if you see the court as a political body, where six Republicans are willing to overturn a well reasoned District Court opinion with a 2.5 page opinion, with the likely and intended effect being to determine that Republicans hold Congress

/10 The Supreme Court and the institutions supporting it being corrupt doesn't mean that you stop defending accused criminals or suing to get your client what they deserve or fighting for justice in lower courts. When Nazis occupied Paris we didn't raze it, we took it back.

/3 I am no longer inclined to spend time tinkering with the machinery of bigotry. It would be trivially easy to explain under a rules-based system how SCOTUS could come out one way on race in admissions and another in race in detentions. But it's still not worth the effort or the implied respect.

It may sound radical, but if one guy has so much wealth and power that he can use the large newspaper he owns to publicly threaten to ruin a service we all rely on, presumably as a bargaining tactic to get lower rates, we probably need to tax that guy until he can't do that anymore.
