The Saltire flutters gently above the St Andrew’s Day service at Athelstaneford. Rev Douglas Hamilton made the parallel that Andrew brought people together with Jesus and the Saltire brings us all together in an inclusive Scotland.

A beautiful message for our National Day. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The Saltire is considered to be the oldest flag in Europe, first used in 832. St Andrew's Day is our national day - when all of Scotland's people, no matter their origin, come together.

This year why not take the opportunity to look forward to a fairer, stronger, independent Scotland.

See all those green circles? That's Scottish on- and off-shore wind generation, right now.

We generate more than we need. It's the cheapest way to generate electricity. And yet Westminster ensures that Scotland has amongst the highest energy prices in the UK/Europe.

Happy St Andrews Day to all Scots.

A good day to remind all undecided voters in Scotland just how wonderful our country is and how much better we could be without Westminster rule.

We have to inspire, educate and promote the facts about Scotland. That's what this little book does.

Leaders like Trump and Pete Hegseth should listen to and learn from those they have the honor of commanding, instead of giving them meandering nonsensical lectures.

Radio 6 is a tribute to all that is best at the BBC. It is inform, educate and entertain in musical form: Utter loveliness. And then they periodically allow the news department to mutilate it with these context-free anti-asylum bulletins, reminding you of all that's worst about the BBC.
Radcliffe and Maconie on BBC 6 music is one of my favourite things

Having it interrupted by breathless news bulletin telling me ‘government has banned taxis for asylum seekers’ *really isn’t*

New lines like ‘Home Office spent £1k over weekend on taxis’ would struggle to make a local newspaper

No longer can this be called 'A voluntary union' if English politicians keep denying to recognise a legitimate mandate.
If Westminster cannot say what the mechanism is that we can use to leave, Then it is tantamount to a hostage situation.

Whilst Scotland has the .scot top level domain (TLD), and Wales .wales and .cymru, there has never been an application for an England TLD.

That's because .uk is used instead. Thus continuing the prejudice that the UK = England.

English identity really is in a mess.

The UK, where the day after a decision to take half a million children out of poverty, the media & political world has been full of sneering at those same children & their families, labelling them as ‘Benefits Street’, while the same people are moaning about a tax on £2m mansions. Shameful stuff.
