If Pete Hegseth succeeds in punishing Mark Kelly, it could significantly expand the Pentagon’s legal powers over military retirees—and curb the First Amendment rights of some of the very people who have fought to defend such freedoms, Missy Ryan reports.

NEW: In a loss for students in North Carolina, a judge declined to open early voting sites on three college campuses in the state, including the nation’s largest HBCU.

While the ruling deals a blow to students’ attempt to restore sites ahead of the state’s upcoming primary, they can appeal.

My colleague got into Trump's sprawling family detention camp, which is full of toddlers, kids, & teens.

- Kids have cut themselves or talked about suicide

-There's worms & mold in food

-300 kids have been held for 30+ days, far longer court settlement allows

Really I’m just tired of Congress adhering to the old way — which clearly doesn’t work — of ignoring all the weirdness on the right and not publicly calling out the absurdity & irrationality of their political propaganda.
