It's been a long time since I got to draw something, but I recently was given a challenge to turn Marin Kitagawa from My Dress-Up Darling into a mermaid jumping out of the ocean. Never tried splashing water or fish scales before, but I'm happy with how it turned out :)

Many YouTubers who talk about anime are making more money than almost all the people who make the anime they talk about (including the animators and the English dub cast that Crunchyroll hires).

I can relate because I still have a bit of this problem to this day, lol. On a side note, Emily is a full-on bombshell with that shirt!
Fun fact: when I was a kid I was obsessed with the colour orange, to the point where I would have to wear a piece of orange clothing everyday otherwise I’d be upset, anyway I got a new orange shirt at a secondhand store wooo

The situation with Greg Cipes being fired just doesn't add up. He claims to have lost his job in February, yet he made many comments giving thanks to WB and Sam Register for letting him stay on Teen Titans GO! as Beast Boy. Why lie about the time when you left months of evidence that say otherwise?

It’s been many month, but this strike is finally over! I hope the new deal will provide those protections against AI that these people have been long fighting for and more. You actors did very well throughout this battle and deserve some rest :)

Today marks the 40th anniversary since the founding of Studio Ghibli, possibly the most acclaimed animation studio in Japan. With a collection of many of the greatest animated features, its legacy is said to have even surpassed the american studios with their uniquely beloved approach to filmmaking.

I'm honestly in shock to see that the Walt Disney World animation studio that created Mulan, Lilo & Stitch and Brother Bear is still alive and well preserved. Nowadays, it's for Disney's other departments, but it's amazing to see this part of animation history still standing.
Inside Feature Animation Florida Where Lilo & Stitch Was Made
I'm taking you with me inside Feature Animation Florida, where we work in the halls and offices where Disney's "Lilo & Stitch" was made.

Like Stefan mentioned, reviewers and other YouTubers don’t just do this to Disney. They unapologetically exploit a movie’s failure and hyperbole the heck out of it for profit and attention. In fact, we saw this earlier this year when they pulled this stunt on The Day The Earth Blew Up.
I hate when a new animated movie from a major studio comes out and it underwhelms either critically or at the box-office and I suddenly see a million YouTube thumbnails with titles like "Pixar Crashes and Burns!" and "What Happened to DreamWorks?!?", often with big red letters.

As someone who grew up with a lot of 4Kids animes, it's sad to hear about the passing of James Carter Cathcart. On top of his many roles in Pokémon, including Gary Oak, I'll remember him for playing as Weevil in Yu-Gi-Oh!, Sir Gallant in Kirby, and Vector in Sonic. May his voice be never forgotten.

People need to stop making a competition out of animated films and let them coexist with one another. No one in the industry is rivaling and they're equally celebrating their colleagues work at other studios without trashing them. Films can coexist with one another. Simple.

I got a new achievement as a YouTuber! I’m now popular enough to have unhinged trolls make rant videos that go on for much longer than when I talked about it just because they don’t agree with my opinion on a movie and the reactions it got.
You don’t have to agree on @matbrunetvo.com on his opinions, but don’t fucking lie about it. He has gone to state that he completely understands why a film like Fixed wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea.

It’s insane to me how Mat’s 10 minute tangent on the backlash could provoke an hour long video.

I never thought I'd find myself in the same room as Genndy Tartakovsky, but that just happened. But for real, after seeing Fixed, there was a really insightful conversation with Annecy's Marcel Jean about his career and his new movie. It was inspiring to see his passion for animation in person!

This is why the accusation that a movie or a project from a big-name company where “They used AI to make this!” Are almost never true, because the tech is still way too far from being good enough to make anything that a human can consistsntly create.
So apparently, it may turn out that The Wizard of Oz at the Las Vegas Sphere wasn’t entirely made in AI and Google threw the VFX crew under the bus by claiming it was all done by artificial intelligence.

If true, then fucking yikes.

Animation Twitter owes Genndy Tartakovsky and his crew an apology for all the horrific harassment and bullying they threw at behind making Fixed.
