Kshama Sawant has tweeted about Bruce Harrell 3 times in his 4 years as mayor, the most recent time over 6 months ago. She has not mentioned mayor elect Katie Wilson since 2020.

She has tweeted (all negatively) about Mamdani 8 times in the past 4 days.

Seattle used to fund so much transit service until covid (and jenny durkan)

In 2019, almost 75% of the city lived within walking distance of a bus every 10 mins or better. Today, it's only like 50%!

Time to get the buses running again!

SEATTLE!!!

We’ve now taken the lead by 91 votes! 🤯 This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you haven’t tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!

JUST IN: Katie Wilson cuts Bruce Harrell's lead by more than half with today's ballot drop, cutting her deficit from 9908 votes to 4300 votes.

She won today's batch of 55,952 ballots by 10%; that's *more* than she needed to win the outstanding ballots by.

Over 50K ballots left to count in Seattle.

Two years ago I interviewed a 31-year-old NY state assemblymember about a 7-year-old girl killed by an SUV driver in his district. I hung up the phone, astonished that I'd talked to a legislator who so thoughtfully articulated what actually needs to change on our streets.

He'll make a great mayor

King County elections confirmed to me that so far they’ve only counted ballots up to those submitted Monday or early on Election Day, and none from drop boxes. Wednesday reflects basically a wrap up of what they started counting Tuesday.
The general wisdom is that Wednesday is a continuation of election night and Thursday is when the lefty trend shows up. Nonetheless, this gives Harrell a bigger cushion heading into tomorrow and Friday.
Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell gained another point on progressive challenger Katie Wilson in today's ballot drop, which added about ~21,000 ballots. She trails by 8 points.

Expected bigger counts tomorrow and Friday, which are typically more progressive-favoring. Comeback still possible.

Rob Saka wants to take money *directly* from transit service funding to pay for a new "Chief Transit Security and Safety Officer" at the City of Seattle.

That's despite the fact that King County is directly in charge of many of the things this new position would be trying to direct.

The 27 members pressing the Trump admin to free an American teen from Israeli detention cite a similar case as warning:

17-year-old Palestinian Walid Ahmad, like Mohammed, was detained for months without charges, facing abuse & poor conditions.

In March, he collapsed and died.
NEW — 27 members of Congress press Marco Rubio & Mike Huckabee to free Palestinian-American teen Mohammed Ibrahim from Israeli detention.

They also note Israeli settlers killed Mohammed's cousin, Sayfollah, a 20-year-old US citizen, in July — and Israeli authorities haven't arrested anyone for it.

why are Silver ACA plans for 2026 now more expensive and better than gold plans in WAHealthPlanfinder?

For Kaiser:
Cascade Silver: $615 monthly (pre-subsidy)/$750 deductible/$2850 MOOP/$5 PCP visits

Cascade Complete Gold: $518 monthly/$1000 deductible/$7000 MOOP/$15 PCP Visits
