New: Google has chosen a side in Trump's mass deportation campaign. Google is hosting a CBP facial recognition app to hunt immigrants; no indication Google will remove. At same time Google takes down apps for reporting ICE sightings

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

like, i don't really know how to adequately express the anger that i feel watching this video. not showing your face, lazily teargassing random people on a neighborhood street without getting out of your car - the image says more about these goons than i could articulate bsky.app/profile/clan...
Logan Square neighborhood, Chicago. Man wearing a balaclava in a white, unmarked vehicle, pulls the pin on a tear gas canister and tosses it in the road.

Not so gentle reminder that “transgender ideology” isn’t a thing - it’s a way of negating the existence of trans people

You can "honor" Kirk's memory by doing the thing he'd hate and donating to an organization that wants to help low-income trans adults receive gender affirming care:

My tolerance for pseudo-catholic gobbledegook on-screen takes the biggest nose dive the moment the conjuring movies transition from Farmiga & Wilson on screen to the "Ed and Lorraine Warren were dope, actually" credits montage.

All or none. Simple shit. And don't tell me it's bad strategy, that just means you're someone who can't be trusted in a foxhole.

Conceding any ground to the right on this is what got us here in the first place.
reposted this today because the inverse is also true:

if you abandon trans people right now, you are abandoning civil rights period.

if you can't stand up for trans people when it matters, no one should, or will, ever trust you when the bullseye moves to the next target.
the thing about trans rights is that we fight the civil rights issues of our time. nazi chuds have made this the issue of our time.

it's not more *important* than other civil rights issues, but it is the battleground of the moment, and we have to meet the moment to support everyone's rights.

The missing piece of the equation explaining why so many critic positions are being eliminated is the little AI summaries at the top of Google results, which reduced click-throughs drastically. Once again, a tech company has stolen human labor and monetized it and doesn't care about the impact.
