Signal is a great privacy tool, but it isn’t magic. And even if you’re not discussing war plans in your group chat, it’s a good idea to know the limits of encryption.

Encrypted Messaging Is Essential—But It Isn’t Magic
As recent events have shown, using an encrypted messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal is no privacy panacea.

People are so unaware of what’s in that budget.

- REMOVING the ability for single parents to file as head of household
- EXTREME tax increases on the poorest of the poor
- taxing scholarships and fellowships for kids just trying to go to school
- SLASHING all the social safety nets. It’s sick.
Things are going to come to a head by March 14th when Congress needs to pass a budget. That will determine if shit needs to turn up even more

Shameful.
JUST IN: Another medical horror story in an affidavit from a USAID employee stationed overseas. Says his pregnant wife was not medevac-ed for emergency health care because of directives from DC. Took intervention of a U.S. senator to reverse — but was too late. s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

White Christian Nationalist PATRIARCHY. Women’s clubs have also been disbanded.
The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

Oh my, I love Waffle House. I was afraid of something like this.
‼️The soaring price of eggs has forced Waffle House to add a temporary surcharge on customers’ orders.

The Georgia-based chain is adding a 50-cent charge per egg because of the “nationwide rise in cost of eggs,” according to signs posted at its restaurants. 🥚

NEW: I'm hearing from federal employees that they're being told to file a FOIA request if they want their employee records. Meaning they've been locked out of their records and have to file a Freedom of Information Act Request to get them. If you got this email, please contact me. Signal in bio.

Americans have no idea what their president has stirred up in Canada.

The public broadcaster has dedicated 12 consecutive hours (and counting) of live coverage of the tariffs.

My social media is filled with "buy Canadian" tips.

What a huge mess.
Goldman Sachs says Hedge Funds are shorting the market at record levels. Maybe CNBC needs to report that instead of Sara Ison's sane washing. Why do I sense there is going to be a lot of Goldilocks economy speak coming up next week?

In response to the American tariffs, I have directed government and crown agencies to exclude US suppliers from any new purchasing or procurement agreements.

It’s just one of the actions we are taking to prioritize Canada first.
