More than 68000 people are in ICE custody, and 39 died in custody last year. The American secret police have found a new way of avoiding so called 'repatriation' costs.

If you have to remind people “we are the good guys” that’s a pretty good sign you’ve stopped doing good guy stuff

ICE is no longer arresting immigrants only. They are arresting anyone who films or speaks out. Sending them to concentration camps. I have been criticized for my analogy to 1930’s Germany. That is what we are witnessing.

I think the Greenland threat is a troll. I think.

But it would sure be nice for some senators and GOP house members to speak up now and make it clear that an attack on a nato ally would lead to removal from office

If kidnapping a foreign president isn’t enough to get him out of office, why would the Epstein files be a silver bullet?

Venezuela 🇻🇪 is exactly what Trump wants the USA to look like:
✔️ jackboot thugs on the necks of the populace
✔️ economic upheaval - ready for emptying the coiffures of the nation to the wealthy
✔️ state sponsored propaganda media
✔️ jail/murder opponents
✔️ crush ANY dissent
✔️ erase records

Probably a lot like what’s being done for us. No bodily autonomy for women. No free speech. No healthcare. No housing.

My point exactly. Yet, without stabilizing the country, there will be no oil.

Without stabilizing Venezuela or the region, no one will invest the $100+ billion over a decade to bring production back to historic levels.

Plus, there's a glut in the global oil market, and prices are falling.

To be clear the oil companies that spent billions on infrastructure are going to be running the money part Unfortunately I don’t see them creating a sovereign wealth fund.

The way DJT will "run" the country is give all the oil assets to the oil industry and take every dollar he can out of the country and pocket it.

Trump is about to actually find out what those cartel thugs are about. Trump doesn’t care about Venezuelans. He cares about oil and riches.

He'll get neither in Venezuela.
Stability is the prerequisite for oil. No investor is touching a $100B+, ten-year restoration project in a war zone, especially with the current global supply glut and tanking prices.
Without a real plan for the region, we traded a crisis for a forever-war.

It'll be just that. The citizenry are not going to tolerate being overrun like this and will fight for the honor of their homeland and cannot be blamed for that.
There will always be large pockets of resistance inglflicting casualties.

There is no next, we almost certainly just started another forever war. We'll be too busy for the next few decades.
Especially when it goes regional and involves Colombia, Mexico, Cuba, and who knows who else.
