Social Security issues a public notice it will share “citizenship and immigration information” with Homeland Security, but DOGE began doing that in April

“If the govt starts using the database and does not put out the appropriate disclosure and then later does... they still have violated the law”
Social Security Data Is Openly Being Shared With DHS to Target Immigrants
For months, the Social Security Administration was quietly sharing sensitive data about immigrants with DHS. Now it’s official.

Massie is already an unmitigated hero in this story, but,

I just wish he'd have said, "...in his *little* head..." instead.
Massie: “[Speaker Johnson is] trying to say the rich, powerful men who flew to Epstein Island are the victims now. The only way a ‘Christian man’ can stand up there and sell a lie like that is if he’s already decided in his head that protecting them is somehow okay.”

Stay excited.

This is the digital age. The redactions can be tracked, and anyway, there are 1,000 copies of the files on FBI computers, in other places as well, like overseas.

Stay excited.

Trump/Bondi can redact, investigate, delay all they want.

After today, we're not afraid of that anymore.

November 18th I lost my sweet Lulu (2015) and again on that date my sweet Vivie (2018)
I got Lulu as a puppy just before my ex and I got together in 2004. She had three little boys; I had one little puppy.

The National Press Club (of which I'm a board member) "is deeply troubled by President Trump's comments today regarding the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi." www.press.org/newsroom/nation...
National Press Club Statement on President Trump’s Remarks on the Murder of Jamal Khashoggi
WASHINGTON, Nov. 18 – The National Press Club is deeply troubled by President Trump’s comments today regarding the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Mr. Khashoggi’s murder inside a diplomatic facility was a grave violation of human rights and a direct attack on press freedom. That fact is not in dispute. For reporters around the world — and for those who risk their lives to report on powerful figures, governments, and global events — statements that appear to minimize or excuse the killing of a journalist have real-world consequences. They can embolden those who wish to silence reporters, and they can undermine the essential principle that journalists must be able to work without fear of violence or retribution. The National Press Club stands with Jamal Khashoggi’s family, with our colleagues at The Washington Post, and with journalists everywhere who continue to do their jobs under threat. Mr. Khashoggi’s death was a tragedy and a crime. His life and work deserve truth, transparency, and unwavering recognition of the principles he upheld. We urge all world leaders — including our own — to speak with moral clarity about the protection of journalists and to reinforce the universal commitment that a free press is indispensable to a free society. About the National Press Club Founded in 1908, the National Press Club is the world’s leading professional organization for journalists. With 2,500 members, the Club, through its Press Freedom Center, is a leading voice for press freedom in the U.S. and worldwide. Well, call HER a “piggy” and see what happens. Better yet- call her “Trump” as she personifies him.
GOP Rep. Salazar won't criticize Trump calling a woman reporter "piggy" -- "President Trump is a very different type of politician. But I always say I look at his policies and not his personality. Nobody is perfect."

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

This is not hyperbole. It is a very fair conclusion.
It sure is a good thing Obama got Bin Laden, or #Felon47 would be rolling out the red carpet and cutting deals with him.

I’m old enough to remember when the American president was supposed to *oppose* evil dictators, warlords & other historical villains
First, Trump rolls out the red carpet for Putin and Putin plays Trump like a fiddle.

Today, Trump rolls out the red carpet for Saudi Prince MBS, who ordered the killing of a journalist (who lived in the USA with green card).

How will Trump embarrass US this time?

Trump is so weak.
