This weekend, I wrote about the state murder of Renee Good, and the fascist claim that her murderer enjoys absolute immunity, and a common-sense reversal of qualified immunity that protects civilians from authorities, rather than the other way around.

Alignment with supremacy is a vile choice. Raising the natural costs for those who make that choice by putting first things first.

This is 100% correct for the Senate. They should DEFINITELY not be passing that omnibus bill next week and they should slow everything else to a complete halt as well
Not sure, but at a minimum there should be no unanimous consent on anything and every level to obstruct or slow down anything should be deployed. Make those fuckers stay in the capitol as long as possible if they're going to be useless.

Congress, you have failed to act, and now you all (yes, even you progressives) have blood on your hands.
Congressional Dems need to face the hard truth that people are dying in Minneapolis to oppose ICE precisely because some Dem Reps in Congress aren't. They are dying because the Reps somehow can't see the moment. Would doing so have saved the MP'ers? Maybe not - but they stood because you wouldn't.

🧵on Bondi's lawless misconduct

Congress should impeach her, too!
The attorney general is threatening a state that the federal government will continuing murdering its citizens in the streets unless they provide access to state voter rolls, a lawless demand which is the subject of ongoing litigation.
Fox News: "I've gotten my hands that AG Bondi said she sent to Gov. Tim Walz. It is strongly worded. The AG calls for the governor to support the men and women of ICE, to repeal the state's sanctuary policies, and to allow the DOJ to access state voter rolls."

now - especially now - a reminder that we are going to win. and this is why
I attempted to go to an ICE patrol training here in LA this morning and they had to turn most of us away because of capacity issues and even as I was leaving I saw a ton more folks showing up

so that’s how well their attempts to scare everyone away are going, even in the face of murder

Them, but also more directly: 285 people out of 535 could end all this (218 + 67). That fact should not be treated as an "oh they'll never do it" shrug, as if they don't have agency. They should be hammered constantly as traitors and cowards every day they don't.
Seeing a bunch of normal ass midwestern moms and dads marching in -20 degrees knowing they might be tear gassed or worse really drives home what a cowardly lot of people the pundit class is

They call it “law and order.”

ICE enforcement concentrates on Latino communities, spreads fear, and tears families apart — while crime doesn’t fall.

That’s not enforcement.
That’s state-sponsored terrorism in service of MAGA fear politics.

The Senators could all be in Minneapolis right now, riding with ICE patrols, speaking out about what's happening, and standing up for what's right.

That they are not is a choice.
