I love Critical Role but this is so true. It's playing pretend with your friends. Sure, it can be more, it can be deeper. But also it features a random Kobold NPC named Blep because I couldn't think of a name and the whole party falls in love with him and he becomes the driving force of the campaign
While Critical Role brought a huge audience to Dungeons and Dragons, I'll always be bummed they also made it performative.
I hear folks afraid to try, worried they wouldn't be "good at it."
Proper D&D is karaoke in a room with friends. No one cares if you sing well, so long as you are having fun.

I finished all of Gundam The Origin. This show did a fantastic job of making you sympathize with certain people within Zeon by learning their back story.
