Word from Momb: I think people should keep in mind that even the reddest states are around 40% blue. So even if you think some people are getting what they voted for there are a LOT of impacted people who did, in fact, not vote for it. Maybe don't be an asshole.

People who aren't familiar enough with your field to understand why it's important aren't going to understand your acronyms!

#UglyDogs I remember after Bler’s run, one of the UglyDogs (I think it was Raven?) put together a really good list of suggestions on how to increase engagement and bring in new fans but got crickets back from organizing committee. One suggestion was to have more stories from the back of the pack 🤯

I know the usual statement from them is they don't have enough people to be everywhere at once if there's like 300 miles between leader & lantern. But their lack of personnel should not be the mushers' fault when the mushers have qualified & paid their fees to be there.

#UglyDogs maybe this race should be invitational format? What is the point of letting mushers qualify but not letting them finish if they are doing well. Everyone can’t be at the top. I’m done!

The very first Sled Dog of the Day here on Bluesky is... Pepé! At nearly 12 years old, she continues to lead her team and came out of retirement to help musher Quince Mountain on this year's Iditarod journey. She made it to Nome with Blair in 2019!
