PLEASE post your ocs!! On Twitter I used to have very little engagement compared to my follower count and I draw almost exclusively OCs. Here I was able to grow and meet many more awesome OC creators! Just remember to interact and not wait for likes to magically appear on your art
It's kinda heartbreaking to see so many artists being like "can I post about OCs and not just fanart?", "can I talk about other stuff?", "can I post often?" because the other hellsite literally punished you for doing...normal things you do as an artist - as a person, even.

Today is the 359th day of year.

Pokémon #0359 is Absol, a Pokémon that appears before disaster strikes.

Merry Christmas all

Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

I tidied up this little thumbnail (of approximately 100 × 60 mm). It's all I could manage for now. 🥲

Heads up to artists still using Twitter- Twitter is now adding an "Edit image" button under all images posted on the site that allows everyone to feed it into genAI and modify it as they wish with a prompt

A good PSA for art prints!

- Sign the front of your print at least 1/4 of an inch away from the edges. Don't sign on the literal edge, it'll get covered by a frame or mat
- Don't use labels! They're not acid free. Use a stamp with archival ink instead.
- Info sheets are better than business cards.
Fellow artists-please sign your work.
Not like a dr signature, that’s fine of course, but more importantly could you put your name or site on the back of your prints? Doing more framing to decorate n the amount of times I find something I love but have no clue who made it and would want more 🙃

This.
I learn SO MUCH by looking for and gathering the references.

Why would you deprive yourself from experiencing and learning about the world?
Been thinking on the use of GenAi for mood boards. Ethics and legal risks aside, I truly believe using GenAi as references deprives one of many pivotal things.

Here’s a blurb on what I mean:

Today is the 25th anniversary of Pokémon Crystal Version, first released in Japan for the Game Boy Color on December 14, 2000!

It introduced animated battle sprites and Kris, the first female player character.

I don't know who needs to hear this but sometimes a sketch is just meant to be a sketch and not a finished piece.

Not everything has to be a "finished" thing. Maybe the sketch IS the finished version of that thing. If you learned from it, took what you needed, it had its purpose fulfilled.

I love seeing BTS like this bc it comes from a piece of art where you're like "How did he do that??" to watching carefully over the process and going "Ooooooh, so that's how he did that" and unlocking some new knowledge for yourself that makes art seem less impossible

Despite trying, I haven't been able to get employed for this winter yet. 8')💦

Commissions are always open, and now is a good opportunity for them, since I have most of my irl duties done for the time being! 💜👍

Don't mention NSFW and don't mention the word commission as well, to be safe.

Sharing to help many. Keep going guys and be careful.
Apparently P*ypal now asks for customer opinions on accounts sending invoices.
If you are paying an invoice to a nsfw artist, do NOT mention NSFW in any way, keep it blank even. you risk both your account and the artists.

Pixar designed Toy Story to be printed on physical film. The Disney renaissance movies were the same.

Today, it's hard to see them as they were meant to be seen. The versions on streaming and home media aren't quite the same films that ruled the '90s:
