Technically Pokémon Legends: Z-A introduced the same amount of Mega Evolutions as XY & ORAS
Between XY & ORAS there were 48 Mega Evolutions
In technicality, Z-A and Z-A: Mega Dimension added 48 New Mega Evolutions, but several of them are Megas of alternate forms

An update has happened on Serebii every day in 2025. That's 365 of 365, just shy of the record last year.
There has been an update every single day since May 2021...we may actually hit a 5 year streak for it next year.
Pokémon is so busy now and it's fantastic.

Not only is this Sync pair the 4th instance of a Pokémon being able to Dynamax that wasn't in Sword & Shield, this is the first instance franchise wide of a Pokémon being capable of Dynamax that was introduced after Pokémon Sword & Shield's DLC finished.

I do hope with the 30th anniversary of Pokémon next year, and the anime in 2027, we at least get something.
