One of the great strengths of the picaresque is the freedom to wander off on long-winded worldbuilding tangents purely to explore a character, or make a point, or just set up a shitty pun, then set it aside and never think about it again, because the protagonist and the world have moved on. [1/2]

Great game of co-op Starforged last night with Ben and Tasha. We were quickly overwhelmed while answering a distorted space-time dilated distress call and getting stuck in the middle of an ancient space battle with factions we didn't know or understand. 😁

Mentions by someone with a big following are awesome, but don't underestimate the impact anyone can have by sharing a thing they love. Whatever modicum of success Ironsworn has had, I can trace back to a very kind Reddit post in 2018. My web visits went from ~10/day to hundreds and thousands.
Can confirm - last year James SA Corey simply posted that they were interested in my FIRETEAM TTRPG and my sales spiked for two days.
Mentioning a product or a creator you like can have a huge impact.

Last year, an author mentioned my shop on her substack. It changed my income so drastically that this is the spike of orders from that *one* mention last year. Word of mouth for an artist can change everything.
