I've been finding myself curious about tabletop wargames this past year. not Warhammer, but historical "simulation" stuff. Chits and counters on boards.
I'm conflicted. Mechanically interesting, but playing out that kind of violence & trauma seems....wrong?

I appreciate you US veterans out there, that gave your time, energy, possibly bodies in the name of serving the nation.
I have negative feelings about armies, war, nations, imperialism, however, people who choose to serve deserve our support, often our respect and gratitude. Same for draftees

I’ve never regretted hiring someone to edit a text. It may feel like a hard expense, but think of it as an extension of the writing. A valuable tool if you can afford it

trying this band for the first time. album art, name, song titles all say "this is the perfect album for you (me)" but hmmm, on first listen, this isn't working....

Some loosening up practice - there’s a marked difference between digital and analog drawing. I tend to do my commissions digitally, but they’re fiddly, tight, overly precious - sometimes physical materials force an embrace of expression vs. “getting it right” (for me of course)

today on the drawing board feeling the tension between meticulous and frantic tendencies in my art making.
this is always a frustrating experience, albeit interesting, as it usually forces some kind of growth or acknowledgement in my art
