I am not a violent person, but if I saw this I would be very tempted to destroy it with a baseball bat.
Good user experience is when you make people download an app and create an account before they can get the thing that they actually want. That way you can delight users with the smooth animations and refined typography of the app.

it's so easy to tell people true stuff like "your friends care about you. they are not your adversaries. they don't see you as a robot to serve their needs. your needs are important to them too." but damn it feels fucked up and surreal when you actually communicate your needs and have them respected

the zena and poppy stuff reminds me of my own childhood so much it made me feel physically ill. and i thought /my/ upbringing was controlling; at least only one of my parents did that to me, and at least she actually wanted to get out of her parental role as soon as i was an adult...
