I'd sign it - except I'm hardly an "expert from around the globe in .. (an) other discipline" :-(.

Good luck with this.

It's blindingly obvious this needs to occur, like steel capped boots on building sites or highvis vests for road workers.

The resistance says nothing good about medicine :-(

Rather than a "long tail", it looks more like a second wave of influenza in NSW to me - case rates have been increasing throughout November, back up to about half the July peak.

As a teacher,I had chronic sinus infections so bad that I have scarring in my sinuses

I also had chronic lung infections

Schools refuse to open windows for ventilation so I literally stole a window key to survive(my desk was parked right next to the window)

It look to me like there might be some issue with the population estimates for NZ vs AU.

As in, HMD's methods to estimate the current pop from recent census data are the same, but actual pop changes over the past 5 years (thanks to C19 disruption) are likely very different between AU & NZ.

That's why I'm so grateful for @njbbari3.bsky.social & others who are more capable than I of meeting people where they are. I tried to do the same, until my disabled-to-begin-with body entered a steep decline and 100% of my social circle died or was further disabled. ❤️ to all those still explaining.

we visited my grandma 3 days later. after this we got sick.
My grandma died weeks later. Life hasn't been good ever since. I know my guilt. I mad this horrendous mistake. And I cant deny it. My family does. They do not acknowledge it. I wish it upon nobody.

> I had to walk away altogether,
Unfortunately, you're not the only medical practitioner to "walk away".

How much of a Darwinian impact it's had on the medical profession as a whole I can't say,

but it's certainly undermined my confidence in medicine's professionalism :-(.

It's really upsetting seeing the regularity & levels of illness amongst children. From the almost-constant garden variety sore throat, cough, sniffles, buggy things to hospitalisation and stints of weeks off school. It's so wrong. 💔
