Welp. Did the thing again where I drank too much coffee on an empty stomach and now feel like my brain is in another plane of existence.

have you had COVID and fully recovered? the millions of us who didn't need you for 5 minutes

help us ensure that one of the most debilitating symptoms of Long COVID is recognized as real and serious by assigning it an ICD-10-CM code

this will help us get treatment rather than gaslighting
Do you support the addition of the ICD-10-CM code for post-exertional malaise/post-exertional symptom exacerbation? Please let CDC know by sending in a comment by November 15! We have created a template with instructions here: docs.google.com/document/d/1...

An underpaid overworked agent who processes lifestyle reimbursements has fucked me out of $1,300 while I'm funemployed and handling 8 million appointments and a metric fucktom of medical info for my folks, so that's super chill.

Ma has returned to her true form in which every statement you make is incorrect because she knows everything.

I'm fine. I'm fine and I'm stuck here for hours every day.

I suppose every day is the weekend now but they're also the only days that don't have appointments. But what with Ba unable to lift more than 10 lbs, bend at the waist, or cook for the next week and some change, I guess I'll just never have time to myself.

Trying to puzzle out if I should get my eye exam, glasses, and contacts this month while my old job still funds my insurance or if I should return to every two years because I have no income again.

One of the few good things about being in my 30s is my vision is starting to plateau.

Love waking up to messages from both parents having (unnecessary) anxiety about squeezing in their appointments for the month while I'm unemployed.

I would much rather stretch it out and find an understanding boss than *checks notes* attend 11 appointments in 20 working days.

I know that people hate pre-orders. But when I go back to work in November. I'll be prioritizing pre-orders and any new orders will be put at the end of my backlog.

So if you want to receive your order before the holidays. I highly recommend pre-ordering as soon as you can!

How many more surprise appointments can even fit into October at this point, there are only 31 days?!???!?!??!??????!!!

Didn't think work could give me a new reason to want to yeet myself into the sun, but here we are, looking straight into the fiery ball of flames wondering how much of a running start I'd need to take.

Welp. Notice has been given.

Full confirmation that it was the right decision when I got up at 6:00 this morning perfectly chipper, ready to do laundry, took stock of the mess that is the apartment and thought "I can't wait to get up at 6 every day to clean and organize everything.

All, just to echo some of the other posts I've seen. The Biden Administration is offering free COVID tests beginning September 25th.

They'll be restarting the website at COVIDTests.gov. Please bookmark/mark it on your calendar.

Tore holes in my shirt dumpster diving for evidence of another resident stealing the walker insurance sent for Ma. Multiple people saw the empty box but it looks like the thief threw it down the trash chute and not the dumpster.

They better pray I never find out who they are.

Watching windsurfers struggle on the Charles is so real but I think folks also underestimate how much energy it's going to drain out of you if you so much as pause, whether due to lack of wind or skill.

You gotta pull up that whole ass sail from the water while trying to maintain your balance.

Everyone needs stability in a certain percentage of their life pillars.

Mine are family, my relationship, and my job.

Thing is, being at a point in life where you have to play caregiver means that the family pillar is almost always guaranteed to be unstable.

It appears Ma and A have different colds. Ma is well on the mend. A is running a fever that's gone up slightly.

Getting some cold meds for A, then I'm going to pull on an N95 to go help ma exercise (windows open, air purifier running) and shower (I'm not in there most of the time).

Partner had a stressful birthday in which she had to wake up to fight fellow emos for Fall Out Boy tickets in the morn, go into second round interviews for a job she truly wanted come afternoon, then close out the night by duking it out with fellow nerds for a limited edition bookset.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to quitting my job and going back to being my sister's personal food delivery cyclist for the price of a free meal.

I miss being able to control my day-to-day. I miss predictability. I miss being able to enjoy my surroundings. I miss simplicity.

Never thought I would be Googling this much information about bruise colors. Will I be an expert by the end of this? No, but I'll be exhausted.
