On this day 1815, Ada Lovelace was born.

In 1843, she wrote what’s widely recognised as the world’s first computer program, decades before computers as we know them existed!

Her insight that machines could follow instructions (and even be creative!) laid foundations for modern computing 💻

Rose explained how she found a love of plant science from experiments using chocolate chip muffin soil to attending the Year 10 Science Camp at the John Innes Centre.
