Art reminds people WHY life is worth fighting for in the first place. It's not just about survival, it's about the full human experience.
This. Also, I've had occasion to say this to multiple people today: some people can't fight with weapons and don't have the skills to help any resistance. But if you're an artist with any presence at all, making the best work you can is contributing to the fight, because you're keeping people alive.
it's important for anyone, but especially artists to be very vocal, loud, and proud about their stances on human rights/politics. Our work reaches communities, what we create, share & show makes a difference. Art cannot be separated from humanity. Keep making things that showcase the world you want

I followed a lot of good authors on the birdsite, but bailed immediately when the muskrat took over. I still don't regret leaving, but glad to see some familiar faces on here.
