Our engagement rings were sterling silver also bought online, and we learned that I prefer a slender ring, and he a chunkier one, because our hands are such different sizes. And also that soft metal like silver is not good for him (gets very beat up/scratched/scuffed from his work).

Partner and I just bought black-titanium coated tungsten carbide rings online, because neither of us care for gold or wanted to spend $$ on bling. I could look up the site we used if you want. Probably still have those emails somewhere?

Oh, it's just a single opt-out toggle per blog! I absolutely agree it *should* be opt in, but it's not quite so bad as having to opt out each individual post separately.

There seems to have been enough outrage that tumblr Staff had to make a post about it, and there is now an opt-out toggle under blog settings. So at least there's that.
