While W. E. B. Du Bois was traveling in newly independent Ghana in 1963, the State Department refused to renew his passport, effectively annulling his United States citizenship.

The American civil rights icon became a Ghanaian citizen and died there later that year.

Schumer is not the strategist he imagines himself. Maybe it’s a New York thing but how many times can he be wrong and still believe his own noise?
Schumer tells me Republicans might try to jam Democrats again in September, but thinks Trump will be less popular then and Republican appropriators might be more willing to stand up to him. He said they refused to do so now.

Trump harping on making Canada the 51st state, is also insulting to the residents of D.C. a city w/o representation (but where the pop. is higher than that of Wyoming).

The 51st state is right there. Ah but Canada, Trump & Miller think, will help forestall the demographic changes they fear.

Schumer always thought he’d be a better leader than Harry Reid. In zero ways has proven it.

It’s beyond laughable that Chuck is the guy in the ring who is supposed to put up a fight for us. When has he shown grit? Where has he led his party? I guess I’m glad that y’all can see him clearly now.
Quite something that Schumer had his NYT op-ed justifying his surrender ready to go tonight while not informing the public (including his constituents) of his plans. He seems to think this is just an old-school pr battle. He's never been more wrong.
