Mid rise apartment pattern release entirely illustrated by renders instead of architectural plans in a press release on an architectural website. And we wonder why architects are typecast as cosmetic curators rather than as fundamental to housing liveability and performance…🤯

Gallagher says Centrelink has "a history of engagement" w/ these victims & will provide info to prevent them being harmed by these new powers

He's right.
But also: this was exactly how some of us warned the Terrorism Act 2000 would be used when it was passed, by the government in which Peter Hain was a minister. He and all the others either ignored or dismissed our warnings. It's very frustrating.

This is so true.
The car rules, deforms the design of our cities, of our streets.
Pedestrians have no equivalent rules, & therefore too often diminished ’rights’.
It happens at every intersection in cities, set out by car & truck turning.
It even determines where we can (or rather can’t) plant trees
Fixing the #carnage on our roadways requires a change in mindset + dramatic transformation of transportation.

It’s funny that the author uses air travel as an analogy given that:
- Airlines have steadily reduced the space afforded to economy class passengers without reducing ticket prices
- Most people do not have a choice and *have* to fly economy.
This is so wrong in so many ways. Just a few:
• Condensation running down your walls *is* a health & safety issue
• Making apartments bigger doesn’t take up more land—they’re stacked on top of each other
• Orientation for natural light doesn’t add cost
