That may be what they tell her but the rest of us have a quite different story to tell about @centrelink.bsky.social and it is basically that the front line have been disempowered and since #Robodebt was OK the whole service is unreliable.

Labor could be doing the right thing and increasing payments so that 2.5m people in this country are not living in poverty. They could be following the Robodebt Royal Commission and putting in a 6yr limit on debt recoveries. Instead, its more criminalising welfare recipients.

Labor stuck this amendment onto an unrelated bill at the last minute. We had a whole inquiry looking at the bill which didn’t get to interrogate this change because Labor kept it hidden and now are trying to ram it through today. Why hide from scrutiny?

Top End residents are preparing to launch into cleanup mode after a night of damaging winds and heavy rain from Tropical Cyclone Fina.
With top gusts of 195km/h and sustained winds of 140km/h near the centre of the system, Fina tore down trees, damaged houses and cut power in many places across Darwin and surrounding areas. I suspect if COPs were switched to a majority voting model instead of consensus we could have seen an actual, substantial, roadmap for phase out.
A climate deal without explicit language calling for a fossil fuel phaseout is like a ceasefire without explicit language calling for a suspension of hostilities.

This morning at #COP30 in Belém, Australian joined a group led by Colombia that will plan a fossil fuel phaseout outside the UN process, with the first meeting to be held next year in Santa Marta. It is the most significant statement AUS has made on future of fossil fuels to date.
