Vote #AndreaEgan for General Secretary of #UNISON

Of current Labour MPs that receive money from UNISON, 95% voted with the currently Labour government on the disability benefit cuts.

Thank you, Nadia Whittome MP, for supporting the truly socialist candidate.
I’m proud to be backing Andrea Egan for General Secretary of UNISON.

She will fight tooth and nail for members, industrially and politically.

Andrea’s pledge to take only the wage of a social worker means her pay will only rise when yours does.

All of this has to be torn down and we must build a new system in its place. A system built on true universalism. The Western ruling classes will never deliver such a world. On the contrary, they fight against it.

This is the task of our generation and we cannot rest until it is achieved.

Universal masking, which we tried for two hot seconds in America before people started throwing tantrums & posting up with their guns, is about the same kind of understanding ourselves as a collective we would actually need to counter fascism. You care about the community so you set a group norm.

I visited the waste recycling centre in Leeds a few months ago
I saw waste that could be exported or buried, being sorted, sifted, processed, ready to be transformed into something useful

The material that couldn't be recycled was turned into high-end aggregate

"The couple who ran the Vega, like their staff, were members of the Internacio de Socialista Kunbatalo [ISK]"

How many of the people in this photograph are still known by name?
A year ago, I found this 1940s photograph of a London vegetarian restaurant on eBay.

The restaurant, known as the Vega, was a popular hang-out run by a German-Jewish couple and their refugee staff.

It was also a front for a Europe-wide and today little known anti-Nazi resistance network 1/

We’re reflecting on the roots of Pride: as a protest.

When hate is on the rise, and attempts are being made to erase us from existence, we call on allies this Pride month to stand with us. And we will continue fighting for our liberation: there is no environmental justice without social justice.

The only way to fight back against the far right is to reject bigotry and offer the real solutions to people's problems.

The Green Party needs to be that force, so Ekua Bayunu and I are standing together to be the party’s Equality and Diversity Coordinators.

That's why you can't just jump into it carrying the same assumptions and toxic ways of relating as the majority of our culture. At bare minimum this requires some basic familiarity with liberation movements past and present and a cursory analysis of the power structures that underscore our culture.

It's concerning that so many people think resistance is some sort of club or fandom that you simply need to identify with in order to be included . But it's actually a set of actions and relationships that carry a whole lot of responsibility, including the responsibility to unlearn and relearn.
