This is the best 100-day recap I’ve seen — and it begs the damn question:

Why is his approval rating still 39%? Are folks in a coma?

Cool so what happens if GOP attach a national abortion ban to a CR? You'll vote for that too?

🚮
My YES vote is *not* an endorsement of this deeply flawed CR.

My YES vote is 💯 about refusing to shut our government down.

I refuse to punish working families and plunge millions of Americans into chaos.

I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever vote to shut our government down.

If Linda McMahon and the Department of Education believe in "efficiency and accountability" (after laying off half of the department), then I'm sure they'll gladly publish a list of every position that has been eliminated and why that position is no longer needed.

Trump used the last four years to turn the GOP into an anti-democratic war machine. And he is not done wreaking havoc. That is the stark reality we face. If we truly care about the future of free and fair elections, we must take the threat Trump poses to our elections literally and seriously.
The Coming Attack on Free and Fair Elections

It might piss me the fuck off that this is true, but it is true. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is going to change unless until white people get in these people’s faces. Because when the rest of us do it, we’re just unqualified troublemakers they will ignore. And white silence enables that.
please notice that the crowds getting the most press are white people. that's good.

when white people show up, white congressmen who also happen to be bigots, listen. news crews show up. no Black person ends up in jail or dead.

it's on us, y'all.
please get it right.
please stop fucking around.

DOGE recommended firing workers at:

-FAA, which oversees SpaceX

-USAID, which probed Starlink

-CFPB, which oversees Tesla's financing arm and a potential payment platform on X.

Democrats must make clear that, of course, we believe in changing government for the better - and show how different that is from Trump's destruction of government's capacity to protect workers, consumers, and families.

I can go through pretty much the entire south and tell you that they're broke and rely on a lot of welfare from the government. It was an honor to sign the guest book in the home of Anne Frank.

I was here as a younger man and thought about her life as a dark chapter of history.

Today, I can’t help but think of her story as one of caution. Our world is fragile, and it’s incumbent on us not to break it.

This is a coup.
We have been careful to avoid using the word coup, but it’s time to call it what it is—this is a coup. Trump signed an executive order granting only the attorney general or the president the authority to interpret laws executed by the executive branch.

It's annoying how clearly this is going to play out.

They gut the FAA.
Therefore, the FAA can't do its job well because it was gutted.
Therefore, they say "The FAA sucks, we have to privatize it." which is what Project 2025 wants to do. They're manufacturing the crises for their end goal.
