One of the wilder political things in recent history is that Project 2025 publicly released a 900 page document laying out their plans to roll back 100 years of human progress and then during the campaign Republicans just said "no we're not :)" and then they won and now they're doing it all.

In the last century unions in this country made a massive error in responding to offshoring not by saying “we will organize our siblings all around the world because we are stronger together,” But instead focusing on keeping jobs here. I’m glad to see a bit more solidarity here

the best thing about having dealt with addiction in the past is i have no illusions about social media: it is a drug. we are all addicted. the people who deny this are rationalizing the way people with addictions do that. no shame, but that's what all this is.
