The amazing folks at the WSDOT Active Transportation Division have released their 'quick build guide' - which includes at least a dozen quick-build projects as case studies across Washington State. This is great reading for sickos and local governments alike!

Labu-BOO! Remember that the scariest thing on the road tonight should be a child dressed as a pop culture reference you’re too old to understand.

Be extra cautious driving today, and keep an eye out for trick-or-treaters. Happy Halloween!

This Halloween, let costumed trick or treaters be the only scary travelers.

Look out for kids when you walk, bike, roll or connect with transit. Drive responsibly or don’t drive at all.

#WeekWithoutDriving off to a wet but fun start with a trip to/from the vet for vaccines! (If we do enough rainy rides maybe she’ll even let me put her rain hat and goggles on.) Finding bike parking was a bit tough but sticking 95% of the time to quiet local streets w lots of speed bumps was great!

💯Travelers are responsible for each other's safety. But we often saddle ppl walk/bike/rolling - those not driving 1,000s-pound cars - w disproportionate responsibility for their own safety.

If we can't rely on drivers to be responsible & the culture devalues non-drivers, what are our options? 1/4
Hi @npr.org! We worked late tonight putting together this handy pocket guide!

It doesn't address road design issues, but if we're going to educate road users, we should include drivers.

It's the size of a folded business card. Print it, fold it, put it in your wallet!
