Support your local libraries.
Walk through the doors to keep them open.
Attend the programming which is often free.
Use the services at the library to keep them.
Use the library as your third space to gather for activities - crochet clubs, mahjong, dungeons and dragons, etc.
you can do it there
ALSO, if you have a library card, you can read paywall articles for free with the Libby app.

🚨NEW: This is horrific.

Musk & DOGE closed the specialist unit at Yale tracking down Ukrainian children kidnapped & stolen by Russia.

HOWEVER, it now emerges the entire database may have been DELETED, destroying years of research needed to find missing children.

If so, there should be arrests.

Federal agencies are removing burned topsoil from the Los Angeles fires but will not test it for contaminants — an approach, it said, that has been standard since 2020. Now scientists and residents are testing fire-affected properties themselves.

Among other things it's not really lost on me that the Texas outbreak seems to be clustered in a Mennonite community, many of whose diet is probably way closer to what RFK keeps claiming good nutrition looks like than most Americans.

Just a failure of basic inductive logic from this fuckwit
In an interview, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the health and human services secretary, outlined a strategy for containing the measles outbreak in West Texas that strayed far from mainstream science, relying heavily on fringe theories about prevention and treatments.
Without Offering Proof, Kennedy Links Measles Outbreak to Poor Diet and Health
In a recent interview, the health secretary also suggested that the measles vaccine had harmed children in West Texas, center of an outbreak.

Meanwhile, DOGE apparently plans to spend $25,000 to install a washer and dryer for their own personal use in a federal office building in DC.

He resigned in disgrace from the highest public office in NY to dodge accountability for his actions.

The thing I'll always remember about Al Green is that he was the first Democrat to introduce articles of impeachment against Trump in 2017, after Comey was fired. He also argued that Trump was impeachable for his bigotry alone. This was completely out of step with most Democrats and party leaders.

Everyone send mentions to these COWARDS that voted to censure Al Green who BRAVELY stood up in the face of fascism.
