2025 video game thread! 🧵 (very late)
I started one of these a while ago but I completely abandoned it, so I’m trying again. I won’t go into too much detail for most games just to avoid making too many posts. I guess if you’re interested in my full thoughts on a particular game just ask.

As a huge fan of Doc Ock/Alfred Molina for over 20 years Ive wanted to animate him for a long time! Its not often I animate humans as they can be a bit challenging, but for a rough practice clip Im happy with the turnout! :D

This meta of "ITS BAD" videos about games blows man. As a lifelong hater, this deep level of hating is exhausting mainly because I know it's not from a place of genuine critique, it's never a discussion for wanting things to be better, it's just being negative to generate clicks. Absolute shite

This thread rules. Not only was it about Metroid Prime 4, not only is it a very insane series of posts about KH3, but most of all Cheez is tagged in every post like a torture victim.

At the VERY LEAST Metroid Prime 4 had a safety net of having a clear development time and being slightly easier to achieve due to it already having groundwork in the original Prime trilogy.

As usual the GOTY nominees end up dominating all the other categories too.
In a year with so many incredible games we end up awarding just a small few.
We should come up with different categories that can accommodate a wider variety of games and even award the people who make them.

I don’t think Jon is implying that you have to be a fan of a particular genre/series to review it well. Different perspectives are good. But there is a difference between that and… whatever this review is.
